Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served followed by dinner, wine and dancing. The evening will also feature the 3rd annual “Buck Off” Finals, the concluding event for a series of mechanical bull riding competitions held over a three week period in January. The winners of each week will compete to win the coveted “Buck Off” Buckle at the Championship on February 8.
The event will highlight a premier auction featuring celebrity hostess Tami Hoag. All auction items are available online; you can bid in advance without even being in Wellington. Some interesting silent auction items include a chance to experience the 2013 Masters Golf Experience in Augusta hosted by Wayne Player, a Wanderers Club golf foursome, a Show Ready System that provides ice therapy to your horse, and much more!
The Live Auction is sure to have a lively bidding war for items such as a stay in apartments in New York City or Vail, Colorado, scooters, and a full shipment of hay and Purina Feed.
The VTRC programs benefit students of all ages
The “Explore the Possibilities” event will bring together riders, volunteers, donors, and community members in the hope of continuing VTRC’s successful program. This event is the main source of funding for VTRC and enables the Center to provide services to its clients each year through its four different programs: Therapeutic Riding, Hippotherapy, Therapeutic Carriage Driving and Equine Facilitated Learning.
In addition to bidding on auction items online, guests can also donate directly to VTRC. VTRC is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit corporation which has been providing recreational and therapeutic horseback riding to those with disabilities in Palm beach County since 1982. Donating options include foundation grants, individual contributions, new and used horse/farm/office supplies, horse sponsorships and memorial contributions. VTRC can also always use volunteers.
The VTRC participates in the Florida Special Olympics every year
