Washington, D.C. – September 23, 2013 – An equestrian tradition since 1958, the 55th annual Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) will take place on October 22-27, 2013, featuring many of the world’s best horses and riders in six days of exciting competition at Verizon Center in downtown Washington, D.C.

What You Should Know
The 2013 WIHS Press Kit will be available before the show to download as a pdf from the WIHS website, www.wihs.org on the Media Center page. The Press Kit will also be available in the Press Room during the horse show.
All members of the media must enter through the Verizon Center Press Entrance.
PRESS ENTRANCE: The Press Entrance is located on 6th Street between F and G Streets, directly across from the G Street intersection (between the parking garage ramp and the loading dock ramp). The Press Entrance is a glass door, well marked with signs above and on the doors that say Press Entrance. (Please do not go to the Stabling Office trailer, which is located in the same general area, looking for press information.)
HOURS: The press entrance is open at the same time the building is open to the public for the horse show, which is about 15 minutes prior to the start time of the morning show. Since morning start times vary, so too does the opening of the press entrance: Tue-open at 7:15am, Wed-open at 6:45am, Thurs-open at 7:45am, Fri-Sun- open at 6:45am. The press entrance remains open all day and through the end of the evening performances.
EARLY MORNING ACCESS: If you need access to the arena for interviews before the press entrance opens, contact Jennifer Wood or Meghan Blackburn the day before to make arrangements. (Again, please do not go to the Stabling Office trailer looking for press information.)
WIRELESS: The Press Room provides wireless access to the Internet.
RESULTS / ORDERS of GO / COURSES: Results will be available in the Press Room and online at www.wihs.org. Orders of go and courses for major classes also will be available.
