Halifax, MA – August 19, 2011 – The staff at Fieldstone Equestrian are excited to announce that they will host their biggest event ever during next week’s Fieldstone Summer Showcase. The finale of Fieldstone’s SmartPak Triple Crown Series, the Summer Showcase will run August 23-28 at the idyllic Fieldstone Equestrian & Show Facility in Halifax, MA. Fieldstone has prepared for a record number of competitors as the week quickly approaches and managers are confident that exhibitors will be thrilled with the exciting schedule of events.
Fieldstone Vice-President Shawn Clawson looks forward to hosting another successful week of competition and is excited about the progress that the Fieldstone horse shows have made this season. “The farm looks great, the footing is in fantastic shape, and the grounds are completely ready for next week’s event,” Clawson stated. “Everyone at Fieldstone has been working hard to make our events the greatest in the northeast, and we are proud to say that all of our hard work has paid off. The numbers for the Summer Showcase are our highest ever, and we thank all of our participants for their enthusiasm and support.”
A highly successful professional who has been competing at Fieldstone for over ten years is Greg Prince. Prince not only earns numerous accolades himself, but is a very successful trainer with many students riding to wins at Fieldstone. Prince enjoys the exhibitor friendly atmosphere of the horse shows and noted that the shows have grown greatly since he first attended many years ago.

“It is one of the most exhibitor and horse friendly shows of the year,” Prince asserted. “They do a really nice job of making it feel like you are wanted there, making you feel important, and they always put the horses first.”

“It was always a nice regional horse show and it has grown to become one of the nicest horse shows in America over the last ten years,” Prince stated. “That is the really big difference. It used to just be a really good local horse show that was great for people in New England, and now it is one of the nicest shows in the whole country. Anybody that has been here, even the big professionals, will tell you that it is one of the best horse shows they go to all year.”
One of the many highlights of the Fieldstone Summer Showcase will be the conclusion of the 1st Annual Fieldstone Triple Crown Series, sponsored by SmartPak. Featuring three horse shows with USEF ‘AA’ hunter and four-star jumper competition, the series began in May with the Fieldstone Spring Festival, continued in June with the Plymouth Rock Hunter Jumper Classic, and will conclude with its final competition during the Fieldstone Summer Showcase.
Points will be combined from all three competitions to determine circuit champions in 17 divisions including: Short-Stirrup, Pre-Child/Adult, Pet Pony Walk/Trot, Equitation 11 & Under, Equitation 12-14, Equitation 15-17, Adult Equitation, Children’s Hunter, 2’9’ Hunter Derby, 3’3’ Hunter Derby, Pony Hunter Derby, Pony Hunter, Small Junior Hunter, Large Junior Hunter, Training/Schooling Jumpers, Child/Adult Jumpers, and Children’s Hunter Pony.

The First Annual New England Hunter Derby Finals will take place throughout the week during the Fieldstone Summer Showcase.
