Wellington, FL – April 29, 2014 – The 2014 Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) Spring Horse Show Series awarded circuit championships after three weeks of “AA” competition in April. The circuit was a huge success and rewarded the consistent performances of its many great competitors. The ESP Spring Series continues with two more shows on May 2-4 and May 10-11, 2014.
In the combined Green/High Performance Working Hunters, Shawn Casady earned the circuit championship with Stephanie Von Bidder’s Ariana and also finished in reserve with Marigot Bay Farm LLC’s Solo.
Nicole Lyvere earned the championship in the Equine Conditioning Center Amateur-Owner Hunter 3’3”/3’6″ division with her horse Promo with Nancy Hooker and Richard Prant’s Castlewalk in reserve.
In the #1 Education Place Junior Hunter 3’3”/3’6” division, Victoria Colvin dominated the competition, taking the championship with Rose Hill Farm’s Garfield and reserve honors aboard Rose Hill Farm’s Starmont.
In the pony divisions, Alexandra Pielet guided Mia Green’s GF Forget Me Not to the Small Pony Hunter circuit championship with Christina Rogalny and Dr. Betsee Parker’s Bit of Love in reserve. In the Medium Pony Hunters, Emma Kurtz and David Gochman’s Laugh Out Loud topped the division. Zayna Rizvi and Peacock Ridge LLC’s Roxbury finished in reserve. The Large Pony Hunter champion was Linda Evans’ Dreamland ridden by Emma Kurtz with Back Country Farm’s Love and Logic and Alexandra Pielet in reserve.
The Children’s Hunter champion was Bahama Boy, owned and ridden by McKenzie Wade. Anna Nordin and Aspen finished in reserve. In the Adult Amateur Hunters, Tanja Koschnick and Feelina took top honors with Kelly Bauernschmidt and Lochmoor Stables’ Spyglass in reserve. The Pilates Rocks Low Adult Hunter champion was Jennifer Montgomery and Akif B with Patricia Monaco and Daybreak in reserve. The Welli Deli Low Children’s Hunter champion was Kasey Jonethis aboard Daphne Ross’s Ernesto with Siena Vasan and Palm Ponies LLC’s KK in reserve.
The Diptera Open Hunter division saw a championship win for Margaret O’Meara aboard Woodland Way Inc.’s Voice of Reason with Molly Sewell and Bill Schaub’s Master finishing in reserve.
The Palm Beach Riding Academy Short Stirrup Hunter championship was swept by Mia Green. Green guided GF Forget Me Not to the championship and finished in reserve aboard Deja Blue. Green also won the Palm Beach Riding Academy Short Stirrup Equitation championship with Victoria Hart in reserve.
In the jumpers, Matty O’Rourke and Palvotti were the champions in the 2kGrey Adult Amateur division with Tracy Scheriff-Muser and Max in reserve. The 2kGrey Children’s Jumper champion was Hana Bieling aboard Lochmoor Stables’ P Welcome. Jennifer Pennebaker and Zyou finished in reserve. The Low Children’s Jumper champion was Anderson F. Wagner aboard Thunderball with Sabrina Dornau and Valentijn in reserve. Lea Allen and Komedie de Montsec topped the Low Adult Jumper division with Jennifer Magee and Zaloubet in reserve.
The Equiline Low Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper division was topped by Abbey Soffer riding Shannon O’Neil’s Violetta. Megan Eisenfelder and Killard Horizon finished in reserve. The Gold Coast Feed High Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper champion was Samantha Kasowitz aboard Fair Play Farm’s Corprizia. Myrto Iliadis-Koutsikou and Voila HE finished in reserve.
The 14 & Under Equitation Champion was Siena Vasan with Jia Meininger in reserve. The 15-17 Equitation champion was McKenzie Miller with Madison Specht in reserve. The ESP Summer Series starts with the June I Horse Show from May 30-June 1. The June II Horse Show runs June 6-8. The series continues in August with the ESP Summer III Horse Show August 22-24 and the ESP Labor Day Horse Show August 29-31. Competition continues in September with the ESP September Horse Show on September 12-14 and the Florida State Fall Horse Show on September 19-21. All of these shows will feature ‘A’ National and 3* Jumper rated competition. The Rita & Irish Memorial Horse Show will round out the month on September 27-28 with ‘C’ Regional I and 2* Jumper competition.
All shows are USEF, NAL, and Marshal & Sterling League approved. A $25,000 Equine Tack and Nutritionals Grand Prix will be held during June I. $10,000 Open Stakes, $500 Children’s & Adult Hunter Classics, and $500 Pony Hunter Classics will be held at all ‘A’ National Shows. All shows will feature a $2,500 Junior/Amateur Owner Stakes class.
