Wellington, FL – September 20, 2010 – Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP), the management company of the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival, is pleased to announce that they will be offering internships in various divisions of the company for the winter season. The majority of the internships will begin on Monday, January 3, and run through Monday, April 4, but some of the positions may start earlier and others can continue through the month of April.
The internships are a great opportunity to train at the horse show and learn the aspects of the many divisions that help make the world’s largest and longest running horse show a success.
ESP is looking for interns in the following categories: Media, Sponsorship, Special Events, Graphic Design, Web Writing, International Club Host, and Advertising Sales.
Those interested in applying for internships must contact the following division leaders and provide the materials necessary for consideration.
Media:
The media division is a great opportunity to hone your press release writing skills and gain valuable knowledge of a press room at an elite equestrian venue. Applicant must be very knowledgeable of the hunter/jumper sport and have strong writing skills. Please send a resume and writing samples to Jennifer Wood at jennifer@jenniferwoodmedia.com.
Sponsorship:
This is an ideal division for an Intern looking for a career in the Sponsorship and Promotion sector. You will gain invaluable experience assisting with sponsors; special presentations; liaising with staff; includes office organization and administrative skills. Applicant must have great time management skills, be able to stay for night events, and be very organized. This internship can start as soon as October 1 and continue through April 2011. Special Events:
The intern for special events will help in a variety of ways during the parties, sponsor events, cocktail parties, and other events during the 12 week circuit. Graphic Design:
ESP is looking for an intern to help with the graphic design and layout of the FTI WEF Weekly Wire. Applicant must have strong design skills and experience working with various design programs, including Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Web Writing:
The web writing intern will have the opportunity to write extensively on the new Equestrian Sport Productions website, the FTI WEF Facebook page, and the FTI WEF Twitter page throughout the 12 week circuit. They will write original content for various spotlights on businesses, products, riders, and lifestyle, and can post press releases, photos, videos, and more. International Club Host:
The International Club host will help in the VIP International Club and will assist manager Kiki Umla with organizing table reservations, parties, events, and liaise with Food and Beverage. Experience in VIP settings is preferred. Please send resume to Meg Krueger at megkrueger@equestriansport.com.
Advertising Sales:
The advertising sales intern will communicate with various departments to promote and organize advertising sales in the FTI WEF Weekly Wire, distribute promotional materials in local businesses, work with ticket sales, help with box seating sales, and promote General Admission sales.
