Wellington, FL – April 30, 2012 – Equestrian Sport Productions congratulates the many special awards winners during the 2012 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival. The circuit spanned twelve weeks, running January 11 through April 1, 2012, and awarded more than $6 million in prize money. Many wonderful awards were given out throughout the circuit, and these special awards were given at the culmination of the competition during week twelve.

Adequan sponsored a unique raffle opportunity during this year’s FTI WEF circuit for riders that wore their special back numbers while competing. The Adequan “Got Your Back” Sweepstakes was won by Lynn White. White earned an all expense paid trip for two people to attend the 2012 Kentucky Derby!

The Junior Sportsmanship Trophy for the 2012 circuit, presented in memory of Candida C. Forstmann, was awarded to Shawn Casady of Midtown, TN, on behalf of Potcreek Meadow Farm.

Martha Jolicoeur presented the award for Leading Lady Grand Prix Rider during each week of the circuit in memory of Dale Lawler. At the culmination of the competition, Jolicoeur presented the final overall award to Beezie Madden, of Cazenovia, NY, after her great success during all 12 weeks.

The Overall Hunter Style Award was presented to Caldwell, owned and ridden by Scott Stewart of Wellington, FL, thanks to Champion Equine Insurance.

Champion Equine Insurance also presented the Overall Jumper Style Award for the season, giving the honor to Carlo 273, owned by Beverley Widdowson and ridden by Nick Skelton of Great Britain.

Marley Goodman presented special awards to the Future Champions Overall Junior Hunter and Jumper Riders for the circuit, honoring Victoria Colvin, of Loxahatchee, FL, and Emanuel Andrade of Venezuela.

The Overall Beval Palm Beach Adult Medal Series Winner was Devan McNamara, of Philadelphia, PA. McNamara earned several top finishes in the division throughout the circuit riding Paramount, owned by Journey’s End Farm.

Farm Credit of Florida sponsored the awards for the small, medium and large pony owner/rider circuit champions. The Overall Small Pony Owner/Rider Circuit Champion award was presented to Q-2 and Yasmin Rizvi, of Greenwich, CT. The Overall Medium Pony Owner/Rider Circuit Champion was Cleverist and Daisy Farish, of Versailles, KY. The Overall Large Pony Owner/Rider Circuit Champion was awarded to Happily Ever Laughter and Madison Goetzmann, of Skaneateles, NY.

The ‘Draped in Draper’ raffle winner was Abbey Good. Draper Equine Therapies sponsored an essay contest, asking participants to describe why they or their horse could benefit from Draper products. Good penned a creative and hilarious poem, and was voted the winner hands-down by Draper representatives. Runners-up were Diana Renihan and Melanie Epstein.

James Herring won the Cadillac raffle for a treatment at Eau Spa, the luxury spa at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach.

Alissa Kinsey was the overall Lunch & Learn Series winner. She was presented her award by Jack Mitich, Director of Equestrian Sales & Services for World Development Group, title sponsor of the series in 2012.

In the Oakcroft overall jumper awards, the Chapot Family, of Neshanic Station, NJ, swept the prizes. Laura Chapot was the Oakcroft Overall Jumper Rider, Mary Chapot the Oakcroft Overall Jumper Owner, and Frank Chapot the Oakcroft Overall Jumper Trainer.

The Oakcroft Overall Hunter Rider award was presented to Kelley Farmer, of Keswick, VA. The Oakcroft Overall Hunter Owner was Becky Gochman, of New York, NY. The Oakcroft Overall Hunter Trainer award went to Scott Stewart, and The Oakcroft Overall Pony Hunter Rider was Daisy Farish.
