Lexington, KY – August 16, 2010 – Equestrian Life is excited to announce that we will once again provide a free, live streaming broadcast of the $100,000 2010 Chronicle of the Horse/USHJA International Hunter Derby Finals. As the event’s Official Media Partner, Equestrian Life will make the competition available to equestrians across the country. The International Hunter Derby Finals will be held on August 20-21, 2010, in the new indoor arena at the Kentucky Horse Park.
EquestrianLife.com will provide a free, live streaming broadcast and expert commentary of the event with Olympic gold medalist Melanie Smith Taylor and Equestrian Life’s own R. Scot Evans to web viewers worldwide via an exclusive International Hunter Derby Finals page at www.equestrianlife.com/derby.
“We are excited to offer a free, live streaming broadcast again. The Hunter Derby is a marquee event in our industry and the Finals showcase the best of the best. The interest generated by the live feed last year reinforced that it is important to provide an opportunity for all members and enthusiasts to witness this event,” commented Whitney Allen, USHJA Director of Marketing & Communications.
Live coverage will begin at 8 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday, August 20 and will include all 75 competitors along with the Opening Ceremonies. On Saturday, August 21, coverage of the top 25 will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET with the opening ceremonies, and the third round of the top 12 horses will start at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET. Viewers will feel like they are ringside watching some of the top hunter horses and riders in the world with the expert, live commentary of the event, offering insights on the riders, horses and the competition as it happens.
“We are very excited to once again be a part of the International Hunter Derby Finals,” said Deana Bergquist, Co-Founder and President of EquestrianLife.com. “Last year was a huge success and showed the viability of providing a free, live streaming broadcast of this event.
