Sacramento, CA – October 12, 2010 – Equestrian Life is pleased to announce that we are the Official Social Media Partner of the NorCal Medal Finals Horse Show, held at Leone Equestrian Center in Sacramento, CA, on October 13-17. Equestrian Life is a dynamic media company dedicated to the equestrian community and horse lovers across all breeds and disciplines.
Denize Borges, President of the NorCal Hunter Jumper Association, believes that Equestrian Life will help bring more recognition to their flagship event. “The NorCal organization is elated to have Equestrian Life TV covering the 2010 NorCal Medal Finals. Our board of directors is always looking for fresh, new ways to make our finals a very special, standout event and I think this is a great way to accomplish just that. We thank Equestrian Life for coming to our event and broadcasting it to the world.”
The NorCal Medal Finals Horse Show has been a highly anticipated event for California equestrians for more than 30 years, and Equestrian Life is excited to be a part of the West Coast mainstay. President and Co-Founder of Equestrian Life Deana Bergquist stated, “We are looking forward to providing a social media outlet and exposure for the NorCal Medal Finals Horse Show. This event is another way for equestrians to to stay connected and share their interest in horse sport. After the event, Equestrian Life will provide original television programming on the show that will be aired on HRTV and available anytime at Equestrian Life.”
The NorCal Medal Finals Horse Show hosts four medal finals, such as the NorCal 3′ Equitation Medal, the NorCal Pony Medal Final, NorCal Junior Medal Final, and NorCal Senior Medal Final. All finals are two rounds with a work-off. Previous winners include Dick Carvin (1981), Mandy Porter (1983), and Hope “Hobday” Glen (1996).
The original NorcalMedal Finals started in 1976 with a Junior Final and a Senior final at 3’6. In 1990 the Norcal Hunter Jumper Association added the Pony Finals and in 1999, they added the three-foot final, which is open to junior and amateur riders. All finals are two rounds with a work off.
The NorCal Medal Finals Horse Show is a special event focused around the finals, which are the main event for the weekend. It is the only horse show in Northern California that is 100% run by the NorCal organization and board members. “The Board of Directors is at the show to answer questions, present awards, and be present for anything needed,” Borges added.
Special prizes are offered at a show, such as a trainer dinner and perpetual trophies for the Pony and Junior Medal Finals. An award is also given to the “Best Horse” out of the four Finals.
