Wellington, FL – September 25, 2012 – Double H Farm, owned by the Harrison Family and based in Wellington, FL, and Ridgefield, CT, has had a fantastic summer of competition with success throughout North America and abroad. Double H Farm offers quality hunter and jumper sale horses in addition to their strong line-up of stallions available for breeding. This business expansion has helped the riders at Double H Farm become stronger and more successful in the equestrian industry.
With a barn full of exceptional grand prix jumpers, young jumpers, and up-and-coming hunters, Double H Farm’s horses and riders exceeded expectations with their top placings this summer.
Double H Farm Excels Throughout the Summer in North America
A recent top win came at the Kentucky National Horse Show on September 19-23, where Ramiro Quintana piloted HH Cantino (Holsteiner by Canto x Caretino) to victory in the $10,000 Five Year Old Young Jumper Championship – Midwest.

“We are so proud of HH Cantino,” said Cayce Harrison. “We have had him since we bought him as a foal in Holland, so to see him come along so well and win at five years old is so exciting.”
In July, Quentin Judge had multiple top finishes at International Bromont in Quebec, Canada. Judge and HH Sandor won a class in the 1.35m jumpers during the first week of competition and finished eighth in the Speed Derby. Judge and the promising seven-year-old mare HH Rosine de Beaufour placed first and third in the 1.40m competition and HH Caballero placed fourth. Judge finished seventh in the $100,000 World Cup Qualifier and eighth in the CSI** Grand Prix with HH Carotino and was second in the Horse and Dog Relay riding HH Redefin.

In August, Judge had great success at the Orangeville Show Jumping Tournaments in Ontario, Canada. He placed eighth in the $50,000 Nationwide Auto Warranty Grand Prix riding HH Sandor and tenth in the $10,000 Highland Meadows Modified Grand Prix with HH Caballero. 


At the American Gold Cup in September, Judge and HH Rosine de Beaufour finished second in the 7-Year-Old Young Jumper Final.
Hunter Julo and her mount Jefferson had great success at the Fairfield County Hunt Club August Show, where they finished as champions in the Modified Children’s Hunters. Julo also won classes at HITS Saugerties.

Ramiro Quintana had a fantastic summer with several of Double H Farm’s other jumpers as well. In July, Quintana guided HH Narcos du Marais to win the $40,000 Grand Prix at the Showday National at HITS Culpeper. The pair also placed second in the $15,000 Brookledge Open Jumper Prix there.

Quintana and HH Concetto earned the reserve championship in the 7 & 8 Year Old Young Jumper division the next week in Culpeper. The pair placed first and third in the division. HH Cantino also had a great week there, winning a class with Quintana in the 5-Year-Old Young Jumpers. 

Double H Farm’s HH Confession had an amazing summer with junior rider Genevieve Zock. Zock rode Confession to a big win in the USHJA Hunterdon Cup Equitation Classic at the Kentucky Horse Park in July as part of the 2012 USHJA East Coast Junior Hunter Finals. The duo also won the $5,000 NEHJA Hunter Derby at the Vermont Summer Festival earlier in the month.

Pessoa and Double H Farm Horses Consistent in Europe
A highlight of the summer was the Olympic Games in London, where one of Double H Farm’s top stallions, HH Rebozo (Tlaloc La Silla (Ex – Dollar de La Pierre) x Ramiro Z), traveled to compete with Brazilian rider Rodrigo Pessoa and had great results.


Pessoa and HH Rebozo anchored for Brazil with a four fault round on the first day of team competition to help his team advance to Round 2. The pair finished the first three qualifiers with just 10 faults, which sent them through to the individual finals. Pessoa was also the flag bearer for Brazil at the Opening Ceremonies. Everyone at Double H Farm would like to congratulate Pessoa on his success.
In addition to his Olympic competition, Pessoa showed on the Global Champions Tour throughout Europe with several top Double H Farm horses. In June, Pessoa and HH Ashley placed fifth in the Prix SBM class at the CSI 5* in Monte Carlo. Pessoa then rode HH Palouchin to second, third, and fifth place finishes at the CHIO Aachen in July. Most recently, Pessoa and HH Ashley placed fourth in the 1.50m Final and sixth (1.50m Big Tour) in Valkenswaard in August. Pessoa and Let’s Fly were second in the Prix Nissan and third in the Prix du WWF Canton de Vaud in Lausanne.

Another highlight for the Double H Farm came when Ohlala, daughter of Orlando (Heartbreaker x Darco), won the Youngster Cup in Aachen with Lauren Hough. Double H Farm would like to congratulate Hough and Ohlala on their success.
