Wellington, FL – April 10, 2012 – Equestrian Sport Productions is pleased to announce that two major events from the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network in primetime on April 10 and April 17.
Over 45 million viewers will have the chance to watch world-class show jumping in their living rooms on Tuesday, April 10, when CBS Sports Network broadcasts the FEI Nations Cup presented by G&C Farm at 8 p.m. ET. The event, which was held on March 2, features the world’s best equestrian jumpers representing their countries in an exciting team competition. Ten countries fielded teams of four riders this year including the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Germany and Ireland.
Next Tuesday, April 17, CBS Sports Network will broadcast the final round of the 2012 USEF National Show Jumping Championships and Selection Trials for the U.S. Show Jumping Team at 8 p.m. ET. The 2012 USEF National Show Jumping Championship is a four round competition that began on March 21 and ended March 24. CBS Sports will air the determining round of that competition which featured strong performances from Reed Kessler, Margie Engle, Mario Deslauriers, Rich Fellers and other premier American riders.
These two broadcasts are a great opportunity for equestrian fans from all over the country to watch high-quality productions of important show jumping events. They are also a chance for sports fans of all types to become familiar with equestrian athletes, from the U.S. and abroad, that could be competing at the 2012 Olympic Games in London this summer.
