Indianapolis, Indiana – July 25, 2011 – Sunday was the final day of the Circle City Equestrian Horse Show’s two-week competition. After numerous awards, a slew of prize money, and various luncheons given to exhibitors, the horse show can officially call the past two weeks a success.
Among the day’s jumper winners was Kalvin Dobbs in the $15,000 High Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic. Dobbs was aboard his Treesdale Farms entry Ultimate VDL, a ten-year-old Dutch Warmblood stallion by Indoctro. The winning duo sped to victory in the jump-off by two one hundredths of a second. Today was certainly a fantastic win for Dobbs as he prepares to represent Zone V in the upcoming North American Junior Young Riders Championships in Lexington, Kentucky.
The blue ribbon in the $5,000 Child/Adult Jumper Classic was awarded to Darby Dyar aboard the Richard Rinehart entry Julio, a seven-year-old Selle Francais Argentina gelding by Twister B. The pair took the win by having only two time faults in the jump-off.
The Circle City Equestrian Horse Show would like to thank all of the exhibitors and spectators for their ongoing support. Also, stay tuned for more information about the future of the Circle City Equestrian Horse Show, as improved facilities and footing are in the works among other improvements.
