Wellington, FL – November 25, 2014 – Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) announces that the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) Prize List is now available online. The 12-week circuit held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) in Wellington, FL, will run January 7 through March 29, 2015, awarding over $8 million in prize money. WEF has a strong line-up of international show jumping classes, including an FEI Nations Cup, two FEI World Cup qualifiers, four CSI 5* weeks, and 47 FEI World Ranking classes. Once final approval of the FEI Draft Schedules are received, a full FEI competition prize list will be posted online.
WEF hosts the best competition in the country with 73 professional and amateur divisions for hunters, jumpers, and equitation. Special hunter and equitation events include the USHJA/WCHR Peter Wetherill Hunter Spectacular on Saturday, February 14 (week six); George Morris Excellence in Equitation presented by Alessandro Albanese on Friday, March 20 (week 11); and the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, presented by Dietrich Insurance and hosted by Tailored Sportsman, held across two days on March 28-29 (week 12).
Other top jumper events include the $75,000 Battle of the Sexes, which kicks off the “Saturday Night Lights” series on January 10; the $170,000 Artisan Farms Under 25 Grand Prix Series, with seven classes for the best young show jumpers throughout the circuit; the Hollow Creek Farm Children’s/Junior/Young Rider Nations Cups on Saturday, February 28; and the $10,000 Holtgers 5 Year Old Jumper Classic, $15,000 Adequan 6 Year Old Jumper Classic, and $20,000 Adequan 7 Year Old Jumper Classic, all held during week 12.
The Great Charity Challenge, presented by Fidelity Investments®, an exciting pro-am show jumping event, will be held for the sixth year on Saturday, February 7. The GCC has raised more than $6.2 million for over 100 Palm Beach County charities over the past five years, becoming the largest single day net charitable event in the state of Florida.
The WEF Sport Horse Auction returns on Thursday, February 26, with talented young horses available.
