The 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) is pleased to announce that they have partnered with Show Net LLC, who will provide helpful services like Show Day Live to keep exhibitors up-to-date and informed through the 12-week horse show circuit from January 13 to April 4, 2010. Equestrian Sport Productions (ESP) will also use the ShowGrounds Live system for online entries.
The ShowGrounds Live system is available now for online entries. The entry deadline for WEF weeks 1-3 has been extended to January 8, 2010. All information entered by exhibitors in the new system will be transferred into ShowGrounds Live so there will not be a duplication of effort.
ESP has developed its own show management software, which has been tested extensively over the past few weeks. ESP CEO Mark Bellissimo stated, “We listened to feedback from exhibitors, trainers, and owners and decided that it was not prudent to launch so close to circuit. We will be launching the system during the spring after soliciting feedback from exhibitors during WEF. We reached an agreement with ShowGrounds Live to use their online entry and show management system. We are working with Show Net LLC to use their unique software for in-gate management and live results. ESP and Show Net LLC are also working together to develop and provide an integrated video solution for a state-of-the-art video clip service.”
Show Day Live, the online equestrian information system created by Show Net LLC co-founders Grant Williams and David Orlando, offers various time management amenities throughout the competition, including posted orders of go, live orders of go, and live results. ShowNetPlus offers users an enhanced experience of live results, alerts, and horse tracking systems.
“We are excited to provide this service at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival. It’s something that exhibitors look for, and we’re happy to make it available for everyone at WEF,” Orlando said. “The video service of horse show rounds from Show Net will be readily available online and will be provided at a lower cost for exhibitors.”
Show Day Live will be utilized at all 14 competition rings at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center during the horse show. The ease of use of the system makes it simple for grooms, barn managers, riders, trainers, and owners to know when to be at the ring, when they can go back to the barn, and what their results were. Orders of go for all classes will be available online the night before competition. Show Day Live will be available on Tuesday evening, January 12, 2010.
The video service through Show Net is planned to start during week two of WEF and will offer videos of rounds in the International Arena, the E.R. Mische Grand Hunter Field, the Rost Arena, the Bertalan DeNemethy Arena, and the Mogavero Ring.
“It’s a new service with new technology,” Orlando explained. “With patience, we will scale up the video production as WEF progresses. There will be different pricing categories based on how many video clips you would like to receive. We are also working on two new applications for the iPhone and Blackberry for customers to receive ring status, orders of go, and when it’s available, video, on their phones.”
